Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  counterhold -T20127-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  base -T20172/1-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tower -T20172/2-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Engine bracket -T20172/3-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Workshop hoist

Conditions
l  Gearbox is separated from engine
Procedure
  Note
To align the assembly centre fit the counterhold -T20127- to the anchorage points as shown in the figure.
   
–  Insert struts of the retaining device -T20127-. into the corresponding anchorage points.
  WARNING
Ensure that the hooks are closed with the security sleeves.
–  Using the workshop crane -T10416-, separate the engine from the engine support by lifting and lowering it.
  Note
If operations are planned for the crankshaft or sealing flanges, the flywheel and intermediate plate must be removed before fixing to the engine bracket -T20172/3-.

–  Place the engine support -T20172/3- carefully on the engine, and then fasten it on the base -T20172/1- together with the tower -T20172/2-.
–  Position the engine in the support -T20172-.
