Observe the safety precautions before starting work → Chapter .
  Note
Every time the injector is dismounted, the Teflon oil seal on the injector must be replaced → Chapter.
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -VAG 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor.

Removing
–  Detach the coolant hoses from the guide of the pressure pipe.
–  Extract the bolts -1- and remove the retaining clip.

–  Disconnect the connector -2- in the charge pressure sender -G31- with the input air temperature sender 2 -G299-.
–  Release the retainer in the direction of the -arrow- and first remove the pressure pipe -3- from the throttle valve module -J338- and then from the exhaust gas turbocharger.
–  Remove high-pressure pump → Chapter.

–  Remove bolts -arrows- and detach fuel rail from injectors.

–  Press the O-ring upwards by hand as shown and remove from the injector.
–  Fasten the inertia hammer -T10133/3- with the extractor -T10133/15-.

–  Then insert the extractor -T10133/15- in the groove -arrow- of the injector.

–  Remove the injector by carefully tapping.

Installing
–  Clean the holes for the injectors in the cylinder head thoroughly, using a nylon brush -T10133/4-.
–  Check whether the plastic support washer is damaged and replace if necessary → Chapter.

–  The spring element -arrow- and the Teflon seal must be renewed every time the injectors are dismounted → Chapter.
–  Replace the O-ring of the injector valve and lightly oil it using clean engine oil.
  Note
Do not apply grease or oil to the Teflon seal of the injector.
–  Fit the injector by hand as far as possible in the opening in the cylinder head.
  Note
The injector should enter smoothly. Where necessary, wait until the seal has contracted sufficiently.
–  Ensure for the correct installation position of the injectors in the cylinder head.
