Counterhold -VW 558-

Gauge
t
Hex bolt M8 × 45 and 2 hex nuts M10
Loosen and tighten the drive plate:
–
Attach the counterhold -VW 558- to the drive plate with the hex bolt M8 x 45. Place 2 hex nuts M10 between the counterhold and the drive plate.
Counter holder fitting position:
-A-
to loosen,
-B-
to tighten.
Installing the drive plate:
–
Fit the drive plate using the washer with recesses

Insert new bolts
-3-
and tighten to a torque of 30 Nm.

Check dimension
-a-
at 3 points and calculate the average.
Specification: 19,5 ... 21.1 mm
Note
The measurement is made through the hole of the drive plate to the bored surface of the cylinder block.
If the specifications are not met:
–
Remove the drive plate again and use the compensation washer

. Tighten the bolts again

to a torque of 30 Nm.

Tighten the bolts to a torque of 60 Nm, and then a further 90° (1/4 turn) (the retightening can be done in several stages).
