Separating centre and rear silencers
t  The connecting pipe can be cut through at the point marked in order to renew the centre and rear silencers separately.
t  The cutting point is marked by an indentation on the outside of the exhaust pipe.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Cutting tool -U-40075-
t  Protective glasses
Operation process
  WARNING
Wear eye protection.
  W00-2231
–  Cut through exhaust pipe at right angles-arrow 2- using pliers -U-40075-.
–  Position the double clamp -4- at side markings -arrow 1- and -arrow 3-.
–  Install double clamp so that the bolt end does not project over the clamp lower edge -arrow-.

l  Bolted connection -arrow- faces to rear.
–  Align exhaust system without tension → Chapter
