Engine cover: remove (version 1) –  Take out the oil dipstick -1- from its guide tube. –  Lift the engine cover on one side -arrows 2- and remove it forwards -arrow 3-. –  Re-insert dipstick in guide tube.

Engine cover: remove (version 2) –  Detach the outer -1- and inner -2- engine covers, by pulling them evenly upwards.

Installation position of the multiple connector for the injector pump units and the glow plugs t  To remove the connector, pull on the locking pin -arrow 1- and release the knurled nut -arrow 2-.

Fitting location of the solenoid valves t  In the dashboard of the engine, to the left.

Fitting location of accelerator position sensor -G79- and accelerator position sensor 2 -G185- t  To remove the electrical connector -2-, press on the release tab and release the cable guide -1-.   Note Diagram shows set-up on left-hand drive vehicles.

Installation position Brake light switch -F- and brake pedal switch -F63- t  Removing and fitting → Brake system; Rep. Gr.46.

Installation position of the clutch position sender -G476- t  Removing and installing → Manual gearbox; Rep. Gr.30

Installation position of the coolant temperature sensor -G62- t  On the left hand side of the engine.

Installation position of the fuel temperature sender -G81- t  On the front of the engine.

Installation position of the engine speed sender -G28- t  On the side of the engine flywheel, -1-engine speed sender -G28- and -2- transmission wheel.

Installation position of the supercharger pressure sensor -G31-withintake air temperature sensor -G42-. t  On the air conduit behind the radiator.

Installation position for the triple connector for the Hall sender -- t  On the rear or the engine, underneath the intake manifold.

Installation position of the Hall sender -G40- t  On the right hand side of the engine, in front of the inlet cam wheel.
