Installing and removing the Lucas brake calliper > < Removal:

  Note
Before fitting new brake pads, the piston inside the cylinder has to be extracted with the calliper tool -T20055A -. Before pressing the piston back, draw off brake fluid from the reservoir with a bleeder bottle. Otherwise, if brake fluid has been replaced it might leak and cause damage.
   
–  Press in the piston with the push rod -T20055A -
–  Fit the heat shield to the piston, so that the stalk is housed in the opening of the brake calliper casing.
–  Fit the brake pads.
–  Tilt the brake calliper casing downwards and tighten the hexagonal bolts to tightening torque 30 Nm, blocking the guide pins.
–  Fit the brake pad wear indicator connector in the telescopic arm.
–  Fit wheel.
  Note
t  After each brake pad change firmly depress brake pedal several times with vehicle stationary, so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.
t  After changing brake pads check brake fluid level.
