Installing > < ZOH 38 BIR III Bosch brake calipers: removal and installation

Removing
Removing
The following process is only required to replace the brake calliper or for the repair work described below.
–  Remove wheels.
   
–  Hang out the handbrake cable -1- from the lever on the brake calliper -2-.
–  Press the tabs -3- together and remove the handbrake cable from the holder -4- on the brake calliper.

–  Attach the breather hose -1- of the bleeding bottle -SAT 1175B/1- onto the breather valve of the brake calliper and open the breather valve.

–  Fit the block for the brake pedal -V.A.G 1869/2-
–  Close the bleeding valve and remove -SAT 1175B/1- remove the bleeding bottle.

–  Loosen the connection of the brake hose -1- using the banjo bolt -2- on the brake calliper.

–  Unscrew the fixing screws -arrows- of the brake calliper -1-. The guide pins must be locked for this purpose.
–  Remove the brake calliper from the brake back plate.
