Removing and fitting revolution sensor cables at the front Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Wirig harness repair kit -VAS 1978- Removing Observe instructions for ABS repairs → Chapter. –  With ignition switched off disconnect battery earth strap.   Note! To carry out this work it will be necessary to disconnect battery earth strap. For this reason it will be necessary to check whether the vehicle is fitted with a coded radio. If so, the anti-theft code must be previously recorded.

–  Unlock the ABS control unit connector ABS -J104--arrow 1- and remove it -arrow 2-.

–  Unlock the secondary lock (purple) with a small screwdriver in a clockwise direction.

19 + 20	Front right wheel revolution sensor -G45-
1 + 2	Front left wheel revolution sensor -G47-

–  Extract the pins with an extractor from the wiring harness repair case -VAS 1978-. –  Raise the vehicle.

–  Disconnect revolution sensor cable -1- from revolution sensor. –  Remove and unclip the faulty cable in the telescopic arm. Installation –  Put the revolution sensor cable through again. –  Connect the revolution sensor cable.

–  Unclip the faulty cable from the telescopic arm -arrows-. When fitting the revolution sensor cable make sure it is not twisted when inserting into the wheel housing. –  Fit pin into the connector.

–  Insert the terminal sealing ring to its limit using the insertion tool from the wiring harness reapir case -VAS 1978-. –  Secue the contacts with the secondary lock and fit the multiple connection cover.
