Releasing > < Complete half-shafts: repairs

Dodecagonal bolt of the cardan shaft, remove and tighten
Dodecagonal bolt of the cardan shaft, remove and tighten
Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Socket, e/c 36 -T10125 -, see equivalent → Anchor
The wheel bearings must not support weight when the bolt which attaches the driveshaft from the wheel side is loose.
Never move a vehicle that is without the half-shaft as this will damage the wheel bearing. If the vehicle has to be moved, the following must be taken into account:
–  Fit an external joint in place of the articulated half-shaft.
–  Fasten the external joint to 120 Nm.
