Ignition key withdrawal lock: checking > < Vehicles with Electronic Stability Programme -ESP-

Assembly is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following:
   
–  When fitting the steering column, check that the hooks -arrows- fit into the cross member.
–  Tighten the rupture bolts -1- until the heads break off.

–  When fitting the steering driveshaft onto the steering box, observe the concavity on it -arrow-.
The bolt which fastens the steering driveshaft to the steering box must be positioned on the side with the concavity. It only fits in this position.
Vehicles with automatic gearbox
For vehicles with an automatic gearbox, also attach the ignition key anti-extraction lock cable.
–  Put the gear selector lever into position “P”.

–  Turn the ignition key -A- to the “Ignition ON” position.
–  Insert the lock cable -2- into the steering lock body until the clip is engaged -1-.
–  Align the steering column combination switch with the steering wheel → .
