Re-ignition protection
Re-ignition protection
The electro-hydraulic power steering servo is equipped with a re-ignition protection activated following faults, falls or shocks.
The re-ignition protection may become apparent when it stops and restarts the engine. If necessary, wait about 15 minutes to enable the electro-hydraulic pump to cool down after overheating.
If the re-ignition protection cannot be stopped when the engine is restarted following this waiting time then there is a fault in the onboard system or the electro-hydraulic pump unit is faulty. In these cases a self-diagnosis must be carried out and if necessary the electro-hydraulic unit must be replaced.
