Removal:
Removal:
–  Remove the steering box → Chapter.
–  Clean the steering box around the servomotor with the control unit.
   
–  Attach the steering box with 2, M10 x 60 bolts, as shown in the diagram.
–  Remove the hydraulic pressure part → Chapter.
–  Turn over the steering box in the assembly bench so that the steering pinion is facing up.

–  Disconnect the sender cable connector on the power steering control unit - J500 -.
–  Press the button -A- in the -direction of the arrow- to extract the connector.

–  Unscrew bolts -1- and remove the servomotor with the control unit from the steering casing.
  Note
t  When unscrewing the bolts, protect the servomotor with the control unit from falling (if necessary ask a second operator to help).
t  Renew complete steering box if there are signs of corrosion, damage, wear or dirt on the steering rack.
t  The complete steering box must also be renewed if there is no visible lubricating film on the steering rack.
t  There are steering casings with 3 or 4 holes and there are also servomotors with 3 or 4 threads. Note the corresponding bolted union. Three bolted unions are permitted if the steering casing or the servomotor has only 3 bolted unions.
