Adjusting the steering box
Adjusting the steering box
  Note
Two mechanics are needed for the adjustment. The adjustment is carried out with the engine stopped.
Procedure
–  Raise the vehicle with an elevator platform.
–  Front wheels facing straight.
–  If the steering wheel is moved from side to side (approx. 30° around the centre axle), if there is too much play, noise will be heard.

–  The second mechanic should partially turn the adjustment bolt, until the noise can no longer be heard from the interior of the vehicle.
–  During a test drive ensure that the steering wheel returns to its centre position without sticking following a manoeuvre or after turning.
