If the position of the rear axle is not taken into consideration then the steering wheel may be twisted.
The columns that are supplied as spares do not have any punch marks.
   
–  Remove securing nut from the steering wheel -1-.
–  If there are no reference marks then make a mark on the steering wheel -2- and the steering column -3- for refitting, do this with the wheels in a perfectly straight position.
–  This position should never be modified.
This is used to ensure that the steering rack is not off-centre.
–  Carefully remove the button for the horn.
