A - Extraction, making a hole
–  Secure the shock absorber vertically in a vice with the rod pointing downwards.
  WARNING
During the drilling operation, use protective eye wear.
   
–  Drill a hole of Ø3 mm -arrow A-in the shock absorber outer tube.
  Note
When the shock absorber is drilled, compressed gas will be released.
–  Continue to drill until the inside shock absorber tube (depth of approx. 25 mm) has been drilled through.
–  Drill a second hole of Ø 6 mm -arrow B- in the shock absorber outer and inner tube.
–  Place the shock absorber over an oil collector recipient and move the rod over its entire range several times until no more oil comes out.
B - Extraction using tube cutters

–  Secure the shock absorber vertically in a vice with the rod pointing downwards.
  WARNING
During the drilling operation, use protective eye wear.
–  Drill a hole of Ø 3 mm -arrow -in the shock absorber outer tube.
  Note
When the shock absorber is drilled, compressed gas will be released.
–  Fit the tube cutters as shown in the illustration and cut the outer tube.
–  Pull the piston rod upwards, secure the inner tube with a pliers and press it downwards so that it remains inside the outer tube when the piston rod is lifted slowly up.
–  Extract the cylinder rod from the inner tube.
–  Drain the shock absorber tube.
