General aspects
To measure wheel alignment, only authorized SEAT apparatus can be used!
It is always recommended to measure the front axle as well as the rear.
If not, there is no guarantee that the performance of the vehicle will be correct.
  Note
t  It is recommended that the vehicle alignment be measured only after the first 1000 to 2000 km, so that the spiral springs settle into position.
t  It is also recommended to be certain of the ideal values during measurement operations.
If the position of the rear axle is not taken into consideration then the steering wheel may be twisted.
Vehicles from 09.00

The steering wheel and the steering column bear a mark.
This position should never be modified!
1 - 50 Nm hexagonal nut with collar
2 - One groove on the steering wheel hub
3 - One punch mark on the steering wheel column
This is used to ensure that the steering rack is not off-centre.
The columns that are supplied as spares do not have any punch marks.
These columns must be marked following vehicle alignment and a satisfactory test drive.
