| Before balancing the wheels /tyres, the following conditions should be met: |

| The tyre pressure must be correct. |
| l
| The tyre tread should not have any lateral wear and should have a minimum depth of 4 mm. |
| l
| The tyre should not in any way be cut, punctured or contain foreign bodies, etc. |
| l
| The suspension, steering and suspension rods including the shock absorbers should be in perfect condition. |
| l
| A test drive should first be made. |
| Test drive prior to balancing |

Note | If a complaint is received for “imbalance while driving” the vehicle should be taken for a test drive before starting the balancing. |

| Identify the imbalance. |
| –
| Record the range of speeds in which imbalance becomes apparent. |
| –
| Immediately after the test drive, raise the vehicle off the ground. |
| –
| Mark the assembly point on the tyre. |
