Longitudinal inclination of the vehicle: measuring
Longitudinal inclination of the vehicle: measuring

–  Measure the longitudinal inclination of the longitudinal member.
To determine the advance with zero inclination of the vehicle, add or subtract the advance value measured to or from measured value of the vehicle inclination.
Example:
  N44-0028
Value measured on measurement bench 1° 10′
Correction value for inclination of the vehicle
(e.g. 1° forwards)
+
Advance (with zero inclination of the vehicle) 2° 10′

  Note
t  Forward inclination of the vehicle: add the correction value.
t  Backward inclination of the vehicle: subtract the correction value.
t  Ensure that the surface of the longitudinal member is clean and smooth at the measurement area.
