Driving over hard, pointed objects like nails, screws and the like can pierce the tyre.
This inevitably leads to future tyre damage.
  Caution
Radial tyres with a metal frame whose structure has been perforated by a foreign body should not be repaired.
   
Damage from foreign bodies incrusted in tyres
The object in question -mark- is often incrusted in the tyre in such a way that it does not come out even at high speeds. It may even act as a plug, sealing the tyre relatively well. The consequence is a slow loss of air, not immediately perceived by the driver, but which may lead to a sudden fault in the tyre.
