Characteristics after a successful battery charge test
t  Due to the high charge (ohmic resistance) for this test (high current flow), battery voltage decreases. If the battery is OK, the voltage value only decreases to the minimum voltage. This varies in function of the battery capacity and of the cold test current. By cold test current we understand battery performance in cold seasons. Batteries with a high cold test current are extremely important for vehicles with compression engines.
t  If the battery is faulty or undercharged, the voltage of the battery will drop rapidly, “voltage nosedives”, low voltage value 9.0 V (volts). After a successful test this low voltage value is maintained for an extended period of time; the voltage rises only slowly. A useful voltage value (voltage level) → Chapter can no longer be attained by a battery of this type.
t  Also bear in mind that a battery with these deficiencies does not have the reserve power of a battery in good condition.
t  A battery with these deficiencies must be drained.
