Charge the battery
  Caution
The battery caps must always be tightly threaded on when closing the charge, testing the voltage or testing the charge.
  Note!
t  A highly flammable gas forms in spaces where batteries are being charged: thus no one must enter either smoking or with fire.
t  Precision tools must also be avoided in these spaces, since while the battery is being charged the chemical composition of the air varies and becomes highly corrosive.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Batteries must be charged with a battery charger V.A.G., for example, -V.A.G. 1471-. -V.A.G. 1648-, -V.A.G. 1974- or -SAT 1400-.
  Note!
t  Before connecting a battery to the charger, the charger must be switched off.
t  Before charging the battery, it must be a minimum temperature of 10 °C.
t  Batteries must be charged with a battery charger V.A.G., for example, -V.A.G. 1471-. -V.A.G. 1648- or -V.A.G. 1974-.
t  Bear in mind the instructions for the voltage level and the acid density if the battery is to be continued to be used in the vehicle.
