Check the state of acid > < Check that the battery is firmly seated

  Caution
The battery caps must always be tightly threaded on when closing the charge, testing the voltage or testing the charge.
Before testing, for example voltage in open circuit, the density or the battery charge, do a visual check of the battery.
In doing so check:
  Note!
t  The battery casing for damage. Damage to the casing may result in leakage of acid.
t  The battery terminals (battery connections) for damage. Damage to the battery terminal may result in poor contact of the battery connections. In turn this may cause a wire to catch fire and/or affect the functioning of the electrical system.
