| The exterior differences to date between the new compact alternators compared to the previous ones are the following: |

| Oval shaped housing with a round joint for the double connector, compared to the polygon shaped double connector which was used until now |

| The fixation of the + cable of the alternator is labelled B1+. |

| If cable B1+ is not tightened using the torque indicated, the following may occur: |

| The battery will not be fully charged. |
| –
| Total malfunction of the electrical system and electronics of the vehicle (car immobilized). |
| –
| Fire hazard due to sparks. |
| –
| Deterioration caused by overloading of electronic parts and control units. |
