| When the acid level is too low, the cellular plates dry causing a loss in battery capacity (performance). If the cellular plates are not covered by electrolyte (sulphuric acid), the plates, bridges of the plates and the bridge between battery elements all corrode. The result of this corrosion is that the functioning of the battery cannot be ensured. The battery is then useless. |
