  Note
2 mechanics are required for the removal and installation.
–  Remove trim panel on the right and left and trim panel for tailgate → Chapter.
–  Disconnect electrical plug connections and take cable out of tailgate.
–  Remove pressurized gas struts → Chapter.
–  Hold the tailgate with the help of a second mechanic.
   
–  Unscrew fixing screws -2- (22.5 Nm) of hinges -2- and remove tailgate.
Install
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
Adjusting the tailgate → Body Repairs; Rep. Gr.00.
Observe uniform gap size between bonnet and body.
Adjust the stop buffer and check the opening and closing of the bonnet.
