Removing and installing parts of the injection system
1 - 4AV Control unit -J361-*
q   Fitting location: Bulkhead plenum chamber
q   clipped into holder
q   replace → Chapter
2 - Connector, 40 pin
q   insert or remove plug when the ignition is switched off
q   unlock to remove
3 - Connector, 81 pin
q   insert or remove plug when the ignition is switched off
q   unlock to remove
4 - Air filter
q   disassembling and assembling → Chapter
q   removing and installing → Chapter
5 - Inlet connection with control flap
6 - Hot-air intake hose
7 - Screw clamps, 2 Nm
8 - Connector
q   for coolant temperature sender -G62-
9 - Coolant temperature sender -G62-*
q   before removing, reduce pressure in cooling system if necessary
q   check → Chapter
10 - Lambda probe -G39-*, 50 Nm
q   Fitting location: exhaust tube front
q   Only grease the thread with -G 052 112 A3-; -G 052 112 A3- must not come into contact with the slots of the probe body
q   use ring spanner (e.g. - 3337-) for removing and installing
q   Test lambda control upstream of catalytic converter → Chapter
11 - Connector
q   for lambda probe and lambda probe heating before catalyst
q   4 pin: on engines with identification characters ARV, AME, AZE
q   6 pin: on engines with identification characters AQV, ATZ, AQW, AZF
12 - Connector, 4 pin:
q   for lambda probe and lambda probe heater downstream of catalytic converter (only on engines with identification characters AQV, ATZ, AQW, AZF)
13 - Lambda probe -G130-*, 50 Nm
(only engines with identification characters AQV, ATZ, AQW, AZF)
q   Fitting location: in exhaust pipe downstream of catalytic converter
q   Only grease the thread with -G 052 112 A3-; -G 052 112 A3- must not come into contact with the slots of the probe body
q   use ring spanner for removing and installing
q   Test lambda probe downstream of catalytic converter → Chapter
14 - Intake manifold
q   disassembling and assembling → Chapter
15 - Fuel-intake hose
q   white marking
q   secure on fuel rail with spring strap clamps
16 - From crankcase ventilation
17 - Induction pipe
q   via the throttle valve control unit
18 - 8 Nm
19 - Air intake hose
20 - Spring strap clip
q   disassemble and assemble with pliers for spring strap clamps

   
Fitting location of 4-pin plug connection for lambda probe and lambda probe heater downstream of catalytic converter (only on engines with identification characters AQV, ATZ, AQW, AZF)
The 4-pin plug connection for lambda probe downstream of catalytic converter -G130- and heater for lambda probe downstream of catalytic converter -Z29- can be reached by unscrewing the protective cover -arrows-.
