Testing signals from/to the air conditioning system
Testing signals from/to the air conditioning system
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552 - with cable -V.A.G 1551/3, 3A, 3B, 3C-
Test conditions
l  The air conditioning system must be switched off.
l  No fault must be stored in the fault memory, interrogate the fault memory → Chapter.
Test sequence
–  Connect vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552-. Start engine and select address word 01 “Engine electronics” → Chapter.
–  Select function 08 “Read measured value block” and display group number 050.
   
–  Readout on display:
–  Observe display field 2.
Specified value: 680...840 rpm (according to the engine identification characters)
Specified values in display fields 3 and 4: “off”
–  Switch on the air conditioning system.
–  Observe display field 2.
Specified value: engine idling speed must increase
Specified values in display fields 3 and 4: “on”
If the specified values are reached:
–  Select function 06 “End output” and switch ignition off.
If the specified values are not reached:
–  Testing air conditioning system → Heating, Air conditioning → Rep. Gr.01.
–  Check the CAN databus → Chapter.
  
Reading measured value block 50     ->
 830 rpm    840 rpm       off       off
