Vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552 - with cable -V.A.G 1551/3, 3A, 3B, 3C-.
Test conditions
l
Fuses 1, 3, 7, 9, 10, 14, 16, 17, 24, 25, 28, 35, 48, 52, 56 and 61 must be o.k.
l
Battery voltage must be at least 11.5 volts.
l
Earth connections between engine (at gearbox housing) and body (below battery) o.k.
Procedure
–
Fold back trim panel -1-.
–
Connect vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552- with appropriate cable.
–
Select address word 01 “Engine electronics”.
The control unit identification number and the coding are shown on the vehicle system tester display, e.g.:

036906034T = Part No. of the control unit (for current control unit version see spare part catalogue)

MARELLI 4LV = description of system and version

2615 = Programme number
t
Coding 00031 = Code the control unit, coding versions → Chapter
t
WSC xxxxx = workshop code the -V.A.G 1552 -, with which the last coding was performed (WSC 00000 appears provided the factory-entered coding has not been changed)
