For engine with engine identification characters AZQ, BME up to 11.05
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552- with cable -V.A.G 1551/3, 3A, 3B nebo 3C-
Test conditions
l  No fault stored in fault memory, interrogating fault memory → Chapter
l  Battery voltage at least 11.5 volts
l  The throttle valve must be in idling position
Procedure
–  Connect vehicle diagnosis system, measurement and information system -V.A.G 1552-. Switch ignition on and select address word 01 “Engine electronics” → Chapter.
–  Select function 04“Initiate basic setting” and also the display group 074.
After pressing the Q key, the adaptation is carried out automatically.
   
Readout on display:
–  Check desired adaptation value in display field 4.
   Specified value: ADP O.K.
–  By pressing the key, end the basic setting of the engine.
 
System in basic setting        74 ->
0.8 V       3.8 V    2.7 %    ADP runs
