Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552- with cable -V.A.G 1551/3, 3A, 3B oder 3C-
t  Handheld multimeter, e.g. -V.A.G 1526 A-
t  Measuring tool set e.g. -V.A.G 1594 A, B oder C-
t  Current flow diagram
Test conditions

l  The fuses must be in proper order.
l  Battery voltage must be at least 11.5 volts.
l  All electrical consumers, e.g. lights and rear window heater, must be switched off.
  Note
t  The actuator diagnosis can only be carried out when the engine is not running and the ignition is switched on.
t  The final control diagnosis is aborted when the engine is started or when a moment of momentum is detected.
t  During the actuator diagnosis the individual actuators remain activated until the next actuator is selected by pressing key .
t  The electric fuel delivery unit runs during the entire final control diagnosis.
t  The actuators are tested acoustically or by touch.
