Reading Readiness Code
Operation
The readiness code is an 8-digit numerical code that provides information on the status of the emission-relevant diagnosis.
If the diagnosis is performed for a system, the corresponding digit of the numerical code switches from 1 to 0.
This diagnosis is performed at regular intervals during normal driving. If repairs have been done on a system relevant for the exhaust gas it is recommended to generate the readiness code as this guarantees that the systems operate according to the specifications. If a fault is detected during the diagnosis it is entered in the fault memory.
The readiness code is erased if the fault memory is erased or if there is an interruption to the voltage supply.
