Inspect wiring to the vehicle speed sender -G68-
   
–  Disconnect the 2-pin plug connection and check the wiring for interruption.

Switch on measuring range: Resistance measurement (200 Ω)
Vehicle speed sender -G68-Adapter cable -V.A.G 1598/18- bushesSpecificationMeasures for deviations from nominal value
135less than 1.5 Ω
–  Remove line interruption according to Current Flow Diagram → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
–  Check plug for:
t  Contact corrosion
t  Water penetration
t  Leakage
236less than 1.5 Ω

  Note
If this test of the wiring does not show any unauthorised deviations, replace the vehicle speed sender -G68- → Chapter.
