Coat bearings and friction surfaces with grease - G 000 450 02-.

t  Pressure plate -MP3-407 (VW 402)-
t  Thrust piece -MP3-408 (VW 412)-
t  Pressure plate -MP3-472 (3118)-
t  Pipe section -MP3-479 (VW 423)-
t  Pipe section -MP3-4013 (VW 421)-
t  Torque wrench
   
1 - 23 Nm
2 - Gearshift lever
q   insert in such a way that the interrupted spacing of the teeth matches the gearshift shaft
q   may be replaced with the gearshift mechanism mounted
q   Fitting position → Chapter
3 - Sliding shoe
q   clip into relay lever (-Pos. 6-)
4 - Lock washer
q   removing → Fig.
5 - Bushing
6 - Reversing lever
q   Fitting position → Chapter
7 - Shift cover
8 - Ball sleeve
q   for gearshift shaft
q   pressing out → Fig.
q   installing → Fig.
9 - Gearshift shaft
10 - O-ring
q   always replace → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
11 - O-ring
q   always replace → Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts
12 - Cap
13 - Gasket ring
q   release with a screwdriver
q   installing → Fig.
14 - Cap
q   for gearshift shaft
15 - Cap
q   for gearbox bleeder

   
Remove lock washer for bell crank lever
–  Lift retaining clip in the -direction of the arrow-.
  N34-0052
Press the ball sleeve out of the gearshift cover
  S34-0561
Press ball sleevet -A- into gearshift cover
  S34-0562
Insert gasket ring up to the stop
  Note
The gasket ring may be inserted with the pipe -MP3-479 (VW 423)- with the gearshift shaft mounted.
