  Note
Before assembly moisten all bearing and contact surfaces with oil.
   
1 - Chain
q   pay attention to correct installation position → Chapter
q   before removing mark running direction
2 - 100 Nm + torque a further 90° (1/4 turn)
q   replace
q   tightening may occur in successive stages
3 - Balancing weight
q   can be installed only in one position
4 - Sprocket
q   for balancing shaft
q   can be installed only in one position
5 - Fitting sleeve
6 - 20 Nm + torque a further 90° (1/4 turn)
q   replace
7 - Sprocket
q   for oil pump
q   can be installed only in one position
8 - Cover
q   Clean strainer if dirty
9 - 5 Nm
10 - O-ring
q   replace
q   check tightness
q   lightly oil for assembly
11 - 20 Nm
12 - Oil pump
q   with pressure relief valve 1,15 MPa (11,5 bar)
q   before installing, check whether both dowel sleeves are present
13 - Balancing shaft
q   removing and installing → Chapter
14 - Retaining frame
q   before assembly, check whether the dowel sleeve is present in the cylinder block and the O-ring is seated in the retaining frame
q   removing and installing → Chapter
15 - O-ring
q   replace
q   check for correct fitting in the retaining frame
16 - Cylinder block
17 - Chain sprocket for guide pulley
18 - 20 Nm
19 - Chain tensioner with tensioning rail
q   to remove lock with -T10060A-
q   removing and installing → Chapter
20 - 8 Nm + torque a further 90° (1/4 turn)
q   replace
