Removing and installing the door lock

Removing:

–	Switch off the ignition and all electrical components (on vehicles with central locking system).

–	Remove rear door trim panel → Chapter.

–	Remove the protective foil for rear door.

–	Removing the door handle → Chapter.

–	Remove fixing screws for door lock → Chapter.

–	Disconnect the plug connection (on vehicles with central locking system).

–	Take out door lock.

–	Unhook the control cable of the mechanical door lock (depending upon vehicle equipment).

–	If necessary unhook control cable -1-.

Installing:

–	Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Note

Perform a functional check because the door cannot be opened if the adjustment is not accurate and the Bowden wire is not clipped on correctly.
