Removing and installing front seats (Praktik)
Removing and installing front seats (Praktik)
For vehicles with side airbags
  WARNING
Disconnect battery earth strap → Electrical System → Rep. gr.27.
Safety precautions are to be applied when handling seats with side airbags → Chapter.
Removing:
–  Slide seat -1- as far forward as possible.
   
–  Remove rear fixing screws -2- (24 Nm).
–  Remove screws for the support of the bottom partition panel → Chapter.
–  Slacken screws for the support of the top partition panel → Chapter.
–  Move the partition panel up to the rear limit stop.
–  Slide seat -1- as far backward as possible.
–  Remove front fixing screws -3- (24 Nm).
–  Raise seat in the front area and remove cover for plug connections (depending upon vehicle equipment).

–  Disconnect plug connections -2-, -3- (depending upon vehicle equipment) below the seat -1-.
–  Loosen and cut through the terminals of the electric cable underneath seat.
–  Remove seat from vehicle.
Installing:
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
  Note
When installing, secure screws with cement e. g. Loctite 270.
  WARNING
Pay attention to the sequence when connecting the battery → Electrical System → Rep. gr.27.
