Replacing the middle and rear part of the exhaust system (Fabia II, Roomster)

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Body saw e.g. -V.A.G 1523 A-

t	Protective goggles

Work procedure

For separating the front or rear silencer, a separation point is provided in the connecting pipe, which is marked with a recess.

WARNING

Wear safety goggles.

–	Separate exhaust pipe at right angles at the separation point -arrow 1- with body saw (e.g. -V.A.G 1523 A-).

–	When installing, position double clamp -4- at the side markings -arrow 2- and -arrow 3-.

–	Install double clamps in such a way that the ends of the screws do not protrude beyond the bottom edge of the double clamp.

–	Aligning the exhaust system free of stress Fabia II → Chapter, Roomster → Chapter.

–	Tighten bolted connections of the double clamp evenly to 23 Nm.

l	The bolted connection points to the right.
