Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Measuring tool for liner pretension -MP1-107-
Test sequence
   
–  Attach the measuring tool for liner pretension -MP1-107- to the cylinder block as shown in the illustration.
–  Measure the projection for each cylinder at 2 points.
  Note
t  When fitting new pistons or a partial engine, check the piston projection in TDC on all pistons.
t  If different values are measured during the projection measurement of the piston, the greatest dimension applies for the seal assignment.
Depending on the piston projection fit the relevant cylinder head seal in accordance with the table below.
