  A26-10189
–  Release screws -arrows- at holder for diesel particle filter.
  Note
t  For the following working steps a 2nd mechanic is required.
t  The decoupling element in the front exhaust pipe should not be bent by more than 10° - risk of damage.
t  When removing the diesel particle filter slightly raise the heat shield, in order to avoid damage.
t  Secure the decoupling element with the transport security -T10404- against overtensioning.
–  Slacken nuts of double clamp → Chapter (Pos. 2).
–  Unscrew clamp of retaining strap for exhaust system.
–  Remove the front exhaust pipe with diesel particle filter.
Install
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following:
  Note
t  Replace the gaskets and the self-locking nuts.
t  Secure all hose connections with hose clips.
t  All cable straps which are detached when removing, should be attached again in the same place when installing.
  A26-10190
–  When installing the connecting hose with push-fit coupling ensure that the locking clip -arrow- interlocks behind the retaining lugs -A-.
–  Align exhaust system free of stress → Chapter.
–  After changing the diesel particle filter, an adaption must be performed in the function „Targeted functions“ → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
