1 - Top toothed belt guard
2 - 20 Nm + torque a further 1/4 turn (90°)
q   replace
q   to release and tighten use camshaft lock -T10016-
3 - Camshaft sprocket
q   take note of the position when installing the timing belt → Chapter
4 - Coupling drive tensioning pulley
q   check → Chapter
q   Tensioning toothed belt → Chapter
5 - Coupling drive - toothed belt
q   before removing mark running direction
q   check for wear
q   do not kink
q   removing and installing, tensioning → Chapter
6 - 10 Nm
7 - Coolant pump
q   if damage and leak present - replace completely
q   removing and installing → Chapter
8 - Rear toothed belt guard
9 - 20 Nm
10 - 50 Nm
11 - Guide pulley
12 - Tensioning pulley
q   check → Chapter
q   Tensioning toothed belt → Chapter
13 - Crankshaft - toothed belt sprocket
q   take note of the position when installing the timing belt → Chapter
14 - Main drive toothed belt
q   before removing mark running direction
q   check for wear
q   do not kink
q   Routing of toothed belt → Fig.

  Note
If the toothed belt is replaced within the scope of engine repair (apart from change intervals), it should be entered in the Service Schedule!
15 - 12 Nm
q   replace
16 - Belt pulley
q   pay attention to the locating element when installing
17 - 150 Nm + torque a further 1/2 turn (180°)
q   replace
q   The contact surfaces of the fixing screw and the belt pulley must be free of grease and oil
q   Oil the thread of the screw
q   Counterhold belt pulley with counterholder -T30004 (3415)- with bolt -T30004/1 (3415/1)-
q   tightening may occur in successive stages
q   the torquing angle can be measured with a commercially available angle measuring plate, e.g. -Hazet 6690-
18 - V-ribbed belt
q   mark the direction of rotation with chalk or a felt-tip pen before removing
q   check for wear
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Routing of the ribbed V-belt → Chapter
19 - Bottom toothed belt guard
20 - Console
21 - 50 Nm
q   replace
