Removing and installing the cornering light and headlight range control unit -J745-
  Note
t  In the diagnosis for the dash panel insert the control unit has the identification -J431-.
t  If the cornering light and headlight range control unit is replaced, it must be coded after installation see → Vehicle diagnostic tester If only the cornering light is fitted, the control unit must not be coded.
t  Proper functioning can be checked using → Vehicle diagnostic tester in the function „final control diagnosis“.
t  As of MY 2011, the cornering light (corner light) is only controlled by the vehicle voltage control unit -J519-.
The control unit is located below the dash panel on the front passenger side (see fig.)
Removing
–  Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
   
–  Remove damper on front passenger side -1- below the dash panel and the dash panel side cover for the purposes of clear presentation -4- → Body Work; Rep. gr.70.
–  Unscrew fixing screws -arrows B- (1.5 Nm) from underneath -arrow A- with a suitable tool.
–  Unhook the control unit -3- downwards and disconnect plug -2-.
Install
–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
