Cleaning the water drain hoses
Cleaning the water drain hoses
Front water drain hoses:
The front water drain hoses -1- run in the pillars A and terminate between the door and pillar A. Clean from the sliding/tilting roof opening.

2 - Water drain valve
  Note
An approx. 2300 mm long probe, self-made out of a tachometer shift linkage core, is recommended as an auxiliary tool for cleaning.
Rear water drain hoses:
The rear water drain hoses -1- run in the C pillars and terminate at the side behind the bumper. Clean from the bottom hose end. The hoses must not be removed.

Rear water drain hoses (Octavia Combi)
The rear water drain hoses -1- run in the pillars D and terminate at the side behind the shock absorber cover. Clean from the bottom hose end. The bumper does not have to be removed.
