The indicated values are only given as an example.
–  For track values with the same preceding sign (+/+ or -/-) subtract the smaller value from the greater value and divide by 2.
   
Track value
on the left rear wheel 		 Track value
on the right rear wheel
+ 15' + 5'
 15' - 5' = 10'
10' : 2 = 5'		 

Misalignment of the rear axle = 5'
–  Value with a different preceding sign (+/-) are added up and the sum is divided by 2.
   
Track value
on the left rear wheel 		 Track value
on the right rear wheel
+ 15' + 5'
 15' + 5' = 20'
20' : 2 =10'		 

Misalignment of the rear axle = 10'
The relevant result is the actual deviation of the running direction from the longitudinal vehicle axis.
