Analysis of display group 002, display field 3 - injection time

Readout on -V.A.G 1552 -

Possible cause of fault

Rectifying fault

less than 2.0 ms

t	high fuel volume from the activated charcoal filter system

–	Testing solenoid valve for activated charcoal filter → Chapter

t	incorrect injection valve with too great flow rate fitted

–	Testing injection rate

t	Fuel pressure too high

–	Iinspect fuel pressure regulator → Chapter

above 7.0 ms

t	Increased engine load due to electric consumers, air conditioning system, engaged driving position or power steering up to the stop

–	Eliminate increased load (air conditioning, power steering etc.)
