Procedure
–  Connect vehicle system tester - V.A.G 1552-. Switch on the ignition and select the engine control unit with “Address word” 01 → Chap. 01-1.
–  Select function 04 “Basic setting” and display group number 074.
After pressing Q, adaption is performed automatically.
   
Readout on display:
–  Check the specification for adaption in display field 4.
   Specified value: ADP.o.k.
–  Terminate the basic setting of the engine by pressing →.
  
System in basic setting 74            -> 
0.8 V       3.9 V    0.0 %     ADP.runs
