Checking the coolant system for tightness > < Removing and installing coolant regulator, coolant regulator housing, coolant pipe

Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Counterholder -MP 1-216-
t  Torque wrench 5 ... 50 Nm (e.g. -V.A.G 1331-)
t  Locking agent -D 000 600 A2 -
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove V-ribbed belt → Chapter.
   
–  Removing → Chapter timing belt -1-.
–  Remove camshaft sprocket -3- (counterhold with -MP 1-216 -).
–  Remove toothed belt guard -5- (screws -4, 6, 9-).
–  Remove coolant pump -8-.
Install
Installation is performed in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following points:
–  Replace “O”-ring -7- and moisten with coolant additive.
  S19-0037
-Insert screws -4-
with
-D 000 600 A2-
10 Nm
-Screws -6-10 Nm
-Screws -9-20 Nm
-Replace screw -2-
20 Nm + torque a further 1/4 turn (90°)

–  Installing -1- the timing belt → Chapter.
–  Install the V-ribbed belt → Chapter.
–  Filling system with coolant → Anchor.
