Check display groups 030, 032, 033 and 041
→ Chap. 01-5

If the specified values are not reached:
–
Test resistance of heating element between the contacts 3 + 4, voltage supply for heater and cables to -Z19-
→ Current flow diagrams and Fitting locations
Note
Heating element resistance approx. 2.5...10 Ω at 20°C.
If the specified resistance is reached and the voltage supply for heater and cables to -Z19- are o.k.
–
Switch on ignition.
–
Use handheld multimeter to measure voltage between the contacts 1 and 5 of connector at the wiring loom.
Specified value: 0.400...0.500 V.
–
Switch off ignition.
If the specified values are reached:
–
Replace lambda probe -G39-.
If the specified values are not reached:
–
Test cables to lambda probe -G39-
→ Current flow diagrams and Fitting locations

If the wiring is O.K., replace engine control unit
