| If the adaptation is aborted by the control unit, this may be due to the following reasons: |

| The throttle valve cannot be fully closed (e.g. dirty). |
t
| The battery voltage is too low. |
t
| The throttle valve control unit is defective or the wiring is N.O.K. |
t
| The engine was started during the adaptation or the accelerator pedal was pressed. |
t
| The throttle valve control unit housing is warped (check bolted connections). |
t
| After the abortion the vehicle system tester displays “function unknown or cannot be performed”. When the ignition is switched on again (a few seconds) the adaptation is automatically performed again. |
