Calculating maximum permissible reworking dimension
Calculating maximum permissible reworking dimension
–  Insert valve and press firmly against the valve seat.
  Note
If the valve is replaced when carrying out repair work, use a new valve for the measurement.
   
–  Measure distance -a- between end of valve stem and top edge of cylinder head -1-.
–  Calculate max. permissible reworking dimension from the distance -a- measured and the minimum dimension.
Minimum dimension:
   Inlet valve on the outside 31.0 mm
   Inlet valve in the middle 32.3 mm
   Outlet valve 31.9 mm
Distance measured -a- minus minimum dimension = max. permissible reworking dimension.
Example:
  N15-0438

minimum dimension		31,4

=Max. permissible reworking dimension0,4mm

  Note
If the max. permissible reworking dimension is 0 mm, repeat measurement with a new valve. If the max. permissible reworking dimension is again 0 mm, replace cylinder head.
