   Voltage of modulating piston movement sender -G149- (acknowledgement of the metering mechanism to the control unit via the position of the modulating piston)
l  Voltage increases in laps of time: o.k. (pump injects)
l  < 1.000 V: Metering mechanism closed
–  Observe display field 2, only if nominal injection rate is o.k. - replace injection pump → Chapter
  Nominal injection rate (metering mechanism control in the injection pump of the control unit)
l  Injection rate increases in laps of time: o.k. (pump is actuated)
l  0.0 mg/s, or constant rate: system fault
–  Interrogating fault memory → Chapter
–  Test fuel system → Chapter
 Engine speed → Anchor

1) If the vehicle voltage of the vehicle drops below 10.8 V when attempting to start, then the vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552- interrupts the diagnosis.
